Author Biography

Peter Mukuria-Ng'ang'a was born in Kenya in 1971. He is a writer, journalist, and educator. He has written extensively about race, identity, and belonging, and his work has been published in a variety of outlets, including The New York Times, The Guardian, and The Washington Post.

Peter holds a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Nairobi and a Master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University. He has taught at the University of Nairobi and the University of California, Berkeley, and he is currently a professor of journalism at the University of Southern California.
