About the Author

And Other Adventures In The Life Of Reilly was written by American author William Dean Howells. Howells was a prolific writer who wrote over 100 novels and short stories. He was also a vocal advocate for social justice and equality.

Howells was born in Ohio in 1837. He began his writing career as a journalist and later worked as an editor for several magazines. In 1871, he published his first novel, Their Wedding Journey. The novel was a success and launched Howells's career as a novelist.

Howells was a realist writer, and his novels often depicted the everyday lives of ordinary people. He was also a satirist, and his novels often poked fun at the social and political customs of his time.

Howells was a highly respected writer, and he received many awards and honors during his lifetime. He was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Letters in 1895 and served as its president from 1908 to 1910. He also received the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1919.

Howells died in 1920, but his work continues to be read and enjoyed today.
