Early Life

Annie Oakley was born Phoebe Ann Moses in Darke County, Ohio, in 1860. Her family was poor, and she had to learn to shoot at a young age in Free Download to help feed her family. She quickly became a skilled marksman, and by the age of 15, she was able to shoot over 1000 targets in a single day.

In 1882, Annie Oakley met Frank Butler, a fellow sharpshooter. The two of them married and began performing together in Buffalo Bill's Wild West show. Annie Oakley quickly became a star of the show, and she was known for her ability to shoot targets while riding a horse.

Career

Annie Oakley performed in Buffalo Bill's Wild West show for over 20 years. During that time, she became one of the most famous sharpshooters in the world. She was known for her accuracy, her speed, and her ability to shoot targets from long distances.

In addition to her work in Buffalo Bill's Wild West show, Annie Oakley also performed in vaudeville and on Broadway. She also toured Europe, where she was a huge success.

Legacy

Annie Oakley died in 1926 at the age of 66. She is considered one of the greatest sharpshooters of all time. She was a pioneer for women in the field of shooting and helped to break down stereotypes about what women were capable of.

Annie Oakley's legacy lives on today. She is the subject of numerous books, movies, and television shows. She is also a member of the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame and the National Women's Hall of Fame.
