He is the author of several books on food and agriculture, including Fat Land: The Corporate Conquest of the American Diet and The Nightmare Factory: The Untold Story of Tyson Foods, America's Biggest Meatpacker.
Critser is a regular contributor to The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Guardian. He has also appeared on NPR, CNN, and MSNBC.
Critser lives in Oakland, California, with his wife and two children.
